So here it is..

I'm a Vancouver Film School student living it up in Vancouver, Canada. I am in my second year at VFS studying Digital Design. I am really interested in that beautiful little place where film and motion graphics meet! Its pretty rad.

Brainstreams

I also never shared any of the work done for my client project for brainstreams.ca. Currently they are working on building the site we designed for them and we are meeting with them next week to help out. Mainly I don't think I am aloud to share the videos because they have not watched all of them ( almost 200 haha) and confirmed that they want to share their on their site under their name. To summarize we made a brand new website redesign with the challenge of creating a place where people with brain injuries or family members of brain injured people can go and learn more information and get support. We created 3 motion graphic videos to introduce different areas of the site, all sound was done in house, we created almost 200 1 minute live action interviews of people with brain injuries sharing their knowledge and insight for content on the site. We did a logo redesign and a promotional video that we showed at the 2012 Pacific Brain Injury Conference on february 16th where we spoke to people about our project and interviewed others at the conference. All in All it was a MASSIVE project that was really exciting for all of us and the client was very happy with our deliverables. It seems like they are going ahead and building the site so in a few months our work will be live!

impact awards

So for the past month me and a few others were designing all the gaphic design ( posters, logo,  tickets banners) and motion design ( promotional videos, teasers) etc for the VFS spring impact awards with the theme of mafia. Unfortunately what the Entertainment Buisness management class wanted ( guns, blood splatter, bullet holes) did not go over well with Marketing and they cannot not use any of our design. We quit due to time constraints pushing on other projects but here are a few things we did. I cant find half of it on my hard drive right now so its just a teaser

Red Hot Chili Peppers Interactive Music Video
A interactive music video that filmed each band member in a different room. You can watch one room at a time and than can shift yourself through the different rooms and view whatever one you want to see at whatever time. Also each room has a item that highlights when you hover over it and at anytime you can click it and it pauses the video and gives you a image sequence, band video or interesting fact.

HBO Voyeur
A promotional video made by HBO. It was originally projected onto a New York apartment building. It appears as though you are getting a inside look at the lives of all the people living within a apartment building. They already have the HBO theme of watching others lives unfold so this piece was themed of what people do when they think no one else is watching. It was aired on tv, an app for iphone and Ipad and also available as a interactive video on the web.

The Wilderness Downtown
A interactive music video style experience for the arcade fire that asks for the address of the house you grew up in and than open windows randomly of birds, a guy running and uses google maps and video to look around houses on the street you typed in.
